Live-in Care Services – Overview

Our Live-in Care service enables individuals to remain living safely, comfortably and with dignity in their own homes, regardless of age, disability or complexity of need. By providing consistent, one-to-one support within a familiar environment, Live-in Care promotes independence, emotional well-being and continuity of care, while reducing the need for hospital admission or residential placement.

Care is delivered by trained, vetted and supervised Care Assistants who reside in the service user’s home and provide support in accordance with an agreed, person-centred care plan. All care is delivered in line with HSE standards, safeguarding requirements and best practice in health and social care.

Scope of Live-in Care Support

Live-in Care is individually tailored and may include support with:

  • Personal care (washing, dressing, continence support)

  • Medication prompting and administration (where appropriate)

  • Mobility and transfers

  • Meal preparation, nutrition and hydration

  • Household tasks and domestic support

  • Emotional support and companionship

  • Support to attend medical appointments and community activities

  • Monitoring of health and well-being and escalation of concerns

Care plans are regularly reviewed and adapted in collaboration with the service user, family members and relevant healthcare professionals.
